2021-22 NFL Regular Season Wins Betting Odds, Team to Make the Playoffs & Predictions

Change is the name of the game in the NFL. Every year there are teams who seem like locks to make the playoffs based on their previous performance fall off a cliff. Similarly, every year there are teams who seem lost in the wilderness who take a huge leap forward.

With training camps opening in less than two weeks, now is a great time to take a look at a few teams and spot some real values on the eve of the season.

Read on to see our picks for teams to choose to make the playoffs and the over/under for regular season wins.

Value Picks to Make or Miss the Playoffs:
Kyler Murray is entering year three and so is his head coach, Kliff Kingsbury. The adjustment period should be behind the two most important people in the organization and a leap within sight. They signed a bunch of 30-somethings past their prime, but the leadership that a JJ Watt, AJ Green and Malcolm Butler brings plus the addition of James Conner to shore up running back depth should help them get over the hump even in one of the NFL’s toughest divisions.
Pick: Arizona Cardinals +175 to make the playoffs

Value Picks to Make or Miss the Playoffs:
This pick is the most off the board of the bunch, but hear me out for a second. They made a lot of savvy under the radar free agent signings to help shore up a porous defense. That includes adding DE Trey Hendrickson (13 sacks last year), and DT Larry Ogunjobi up front and young veteran CBs Chidobe Awuzie from Dallas and Mike Hilton from Pittsburgh for the secondary. RT Riley Reiff was also a huge upgrade at tackle over Bobby Hart. Joe Burrow showed massive potential in his rookie season and he’s looked terrific in the spring after tearing his ACL. Now he’ll have his favorite LSU receiver Ja’Marr Chase to throw to. Add in RB Joe Mixon and WRs Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins and that is a lot of talent on offense. They also get the benefit of playing a relatively weak NFC Central and they have the Jaguars and Jets on their schedule. At these odds, that is some excellent value to lay a little investment.
Pick: Cincinnati Bengals +450 to make the playoffs

Value Picks to Make or Miss the Playoffs:
It is year four of the Jon Gruden era and even though he has signed a ten-year coaching deal, the seat has got to be warm for him. There are no more excuses. Beyond that, the team showed some real potential last year and was in the mix for a playoff spot to the very end. The offense seems loaded with playmakers led by Darren Waller, Josh Jacobs, Henry Suggs and Derek Carr and the defense added Yannick Ngakoue to solidify the line. Playing the NFC East this season should help them in a wildcard battle as well
Pick: Las Vegas Raiders +250 to make the playoffs

NFL 2021/22 - Team Total Wins (Regular Season)
Philadelphia Eagles 2021/22 Total Wins

Over 6.5   -160
Under 6.5   +120

NFL 2021/22 - Team Total Wins (Regular Season)
Pittsburgh Steelers 2021/22 Total Wins

Over 8.5   +120
Under 8.5   -160

Value Picks for Regular Season Won/Loss Records:
It’s hard to find a ton of value for won-loss, but one team I like is the Eagles under 6.5 (+120) This is a new regime with an unproven coach bringing in a new system. The QB, Jalen Hurts did not show much in his late season audition and there isn’t a ton of talent at receiver, even with the addition of Heisman winner DeVonta Smith. I also expect the Giants and Cowboys to improve this year and Washington to remain in the mix for the title. That leaves the Eagles at the bottom of the barrel.
Pick: Philadelphia Eagles under 6.5 +120

Value Picks for Regular Season Won/Loss Records:
One more to consider is the Steelers over 8.5 (+120) This team won 11 straight to start their season last year on their way to a 12-4 finish. This is a 17-game season and nine or ten wins is more than possible for a team that will be plenty motivated to perform in what is likely the last year for Big Ben. The addition of RB Najee Harris, picked in the first round should be huge to help balance out the offense and this team has playmakers at all three levels of the defense. What’s more, winning less than nine games would mean a losing season for the Steelers in this new reality. The last time Pittsburgh had a losing season was 2003.
Pick: Pittsburgh Steelers over 8.5 +120
